Tiberias to Jerusalem – and back

I’ll be blogging regularly about our new life in Israel/Palestine now that we have some kind of web connection. We’ve been here for a fortnight and there are too many new impressions to record in words. So here is the first of – I hope – an ongoing series of photo collections.

This one offers impressions of a road journey from Tiberias to Jerusalem and back. It takes just over two hours: down to and along the Jordan Valley and up to Jerusalem, turning right at the Dead Sea. We had cloud and some rain on both parts of the journey, so were able to experience some remarkable cloudscapes and shifting light patterns. These photos, taken with an iPhone from the passenger window, try to convey some (inadequate) sense of the land and sky
